About Me

Hi, I'm David — a self-taught developer and senior tech professional based in Southern California. I've spent 19+ years in technical support and client relations, the last 15 of them at Zillow Group. Today I serve as a Senior Support Consultant and Content/Knowledge Manager for Partner Support, which means I keep our internal documentation sharp, turn messy processes into clean SOPs, and make sure the team's knowledge is where people can find it when they need it. I've worn a lot of hats over the years — this is just the one that fits right now.

Away from the support queue, I build things for the web because I can't seem to stop having ideas. My projects sit where utility meets curiosity: if something annoys me enough, I'll usually end up writing a tool to make it go away. Over time that habit has grown into browser extensions, Discord plugins, and small web apps I actually use every day — and, more and more, share with anyone else who finds them useful.

I work solo, so I wear every hat on every project: design, development, testing, debugging at midnight, and the occasional existential standoff with a single semicolon. Lately a lot of that energy is going into learning the ways of AI and agentic coding — seeing how far I can push what one person can build. It keeps the work honest, and it keeps it interesting.

When I'm not at a keyboard, you'll usually find me watching the Angels, Ducks, or Rams, or an F1 race on a Sunday morning. I'm a rabid cinephile — my reviews live on Letterboxd — and I write about tech and whatever else is on my mind on Medium and Substack. I'm just as likely to be somewhere in Azeroth or playing something random on Steam, but most of all I'm spending time with my wife, our two daughters, and our three pupperonis.
